"Hello XSoft!"

Hello... XSoft! Without a doubt, it's been a while hasn't it?

I've still periodically come to visit XSoft rarely from time to time, browsing for the possibility of a new post to reply to. So I decided to come up and make my own! Hello, everyone. Please take a moment and say hi to your fellow XSoft members, I'm sure people will appreciate your effort! Plus, at least we can try and resurrect XSoft to become quite the producers website again..! (I mean... it's pretty quiet here... now.)

I'm going back to College soon, and I'm going to study hard! I'm pretty sure I picked up a 3D Design class with Maya, which sounds like very much fun... and of course the obligatory Math and English classes. According to my new schedule starting at the end of August, (4 days left!?) I'll be going to College 4 days and working 3 days at my part-time in visible distance. I'm going to be a very busy bee for a long time!

I'm still progressing with Bealupia alongside King Koder, albeit my lack of updating. Most of the new content I've produced is not directly game related, (such as designing monster physics, playing with new codes, drawing big pretty pictures of my favorite characters) so it's not necessary that I post them right away. Maybe when I have a REALLY BIG update, I'll certainly let you know! I have a few other projects too that have my attention too, which I may very soon....

Oh, and on a side note: I've finally evolved...!!

I hope to see you all soon!

Hi all, I was just wandering if we need the avatar file size limit, because it kinda cripples my chances of having a nice, big, moving avatar (like my current, I added it as an attachement). Could an admin remove it? Thanks in advance,

A new smiley set

Hello,

I suggest a new and better smiley set.
Because those smiley's are pretty standard and dull.
I thought about something like this:

Or my old version which is the same but with different colors:

The X symbolizes the XSoft Games, and the colors are the standard colors for XSG in the previous skins.

Please give your opinion.

-Aidiakapi

Besides, I pixeled them myself. Can you imagine pixeling something... me?

New Subforums

When I was checking through the XSoft forums, I noticed we may be missing a few and I thought since we are opening our doors to the public, we may want some additional forums to assist in specific areas. Listed below are the forums we currently have, and my personal opinions on them based on observation.

-- TEAM --

Project Development
A forum dedicated to the projects Xsoft is currently working on.

Creations
This appears to be identical to the Project Development forum, except that it's viewable to members and guests. It could be useful for when someone is looking for feedback on their most current WIP, or want to showcase their game for the world to see. I personally think the two forums should be seperated, one being Creations and another being Workin Progress, to avoid confusion.

Member Profiles Forum
It's the users way of saying hello to XSoft games, they are generally allowed to create a topic dedicated about themselves as a person, their skills (if applicable) as a game designer, and examples of their work. Anything to do with the user in person usually goes here.

Team Applications Forum
I don't even know what this forum is for, as it carries a very similiar concept to the Member Profiles forum. Should a member create a seperate topic about joining the team when they already have a thread describing themselves in another forum? They could just as easily put into their Profile thread that they're interested in joining the team, and we could maybe vote from there.

::::::::::

My suggestions for new forums are listed below. I don't think I've thought of every new addition, but introducing these forums would be, I believe, beneficial to the future XSoft community.

Art Forum/Music Forum
I'm not 100% sure if these would also fit into the Creations/WIP category, but users may be able to showcase their spriting style and music composition in these forums. When we look through the topics here, we can provide our inputs on their content, and give assistance when nescisarry.

Help Forum
Not to be confused with Suggestions forum. If the user has a question about the website or with any aspect of game design, it can be asked here and it should be answered by users educated in the field of question, topics here could be supplemented with [OPEN] or [SOLVED] tags.

Better Design

As some of you may know, the XSoft homepage that we have right now was originally intended to be a placeholder until I could get something better up. Well, I've almost gotten something better up.

Sometime on February 26th (aka tomorrow) I'll show a "beta" design to team members. It will be close to the final design, but I would like some feedback—especially on minor details—before it is publicly finalized. Much content still needs to be written, so I would appreciate help with it.

As a "teaser" before tomorrow, I've already updated the forum favicon (icon in the top of the screen for this page) to the new one.

More info to come tomorrow.

Hey guys!

Uh, if nobody's noticed, we haven't been active much since about Christmas. I think some of us (including me) didn't see much activity here, so we just didn't post. We've got to start getting that activity rolling again, so just in case it would help us a bit, I created...

Yeah, that's right, a blog! We haven't had one before, so I thought it might help. I'm going to try to put updates on there regularly about our team and possibly other interesting stuff too. Of course, it won't do our work as a team or anything—we've still got to do it ourselves.

I just thought I might start taking some initiative in getting us going, so please comment here, on the blog, or anywhere else about this. You don't have to, but if you decide not to please at least post about something else here.
Thanks,

GML Highlighter on main site

Today I decided to add a GML Highlighter to our main site, so now it's there. I didn't program the main code behind it, so it was initially the same as many other GML Highlighters out there based on one made by Rithiur.

I updated it, though, so now the keywords can match those which are in GM8. However, the colors don't change to the updated ones in GM8. I could have changed it so they would, but for the colors to only affect it when the GM8 mode is pressed I'd have to reprogram plenty of the original code. Additionally, I wasn't sure that everyone would want their code to look that way if the GM8 thing was checked. If anyone wants me to change the colors so they all look like the GM8 ones, I probably will—but not tonight!

Let's see... oh, I changed the design to fit our site a bit better.

Hope you guys like it! Comments are welcome.

Music

Hello everyone!

As the title says this topic is about Music xD.
I've got two questions:
What music style do you like?
Is there anyone who plays a music instrument?

I'll start.
My favorite music style is METAL!!! xD
My bands top 5:

System of a Down

Atreyu (you've probably never heard of this one)

Lacuna Coil (just p0wnage)

Pappa Roach

Serj Tankian (singer of System of a Down)

Yes, I play an instrument, I drum!
Those are the songs that I can play (some partially or am I still learning):

Holliday by Greenday

Come as you Are by Nirvana

Sing for Absolution by Muse

Built to Last by Mêlée

Time is Running Out by Muse

And some more.

G2g now.

Bye.

New Staff [7/22/09]

Have you noticed the activity of the members in the Team Staff group lately? Or rather, the inactivity?

Not all members in this group are inactive, but having any inactive for prolonged periods of time is not working out. Because of such reasons, Aidiakapi and myself have decided upon resetting the entire staff of the XSoft team excluding myself--me being the head administrator which cannot be modified. We have also decided upon taking this path because it will also give newer members of our team a chance at helping out as staff and this seems to be an appropriate time to do just this. If you wish to become a staff member, bear in mind that we don't tolerate any kind of power abuse that negatively affects our community. Doing this would result in your actions inverted and you would get a suspension (a temporary ban) and also no longer be staff.

As a note, although Aidiakapi is not necessarily (although quite possibly) to be the new Administrator, he still has his administrative powers and privileges--though hidden--until the phases are complete and the new staff put into the system.

Although it will ultimately be up to myself, Legolas, to have the final say in who become staff, most of the decision will be made by you, the community.
Alright I haven't been a member for long, but I already think that we are in a bad position regarding activity. On a good day, I see about one other Xsoft team member and no one else. Another problem is that we have no community either. Simply put, we need more members, team or not. I say we start making a full effort to attract people to the site.
We already have an Xsoft application out there: ReplaceR. If anyone is active on the YoYo games forums they should make a detailed thread about it and post links in their signature. I think this is unacceptable for a guy who wants to get into our team, and then not working with us..

New Forum Logo

We need to design a better logo for our forums, the one up there right now was hastily done.
I think we'll wait until we have some more members before we decide on a better logo for sure, but I'll let you guys give it a try.

The logo should be gray, though not necessarily as dark as it is now, it should be a bit simple rather than busy, and you need to use the correct background. Give it a shot, attached is the image.

You also will need to have one with a transparent background somewhere at hand for if we use yours. You will also need to leave a decent amount of "whitespace" (not really white) around the text when it's centered, so it won't look bad when aligned left. You may stretch the background horizontally as much as needed.

Tips And Trick Topic

Hello,

This topic should be the place where you can read and submit Game Maker tips and tricks.
I've made a little start, but it isn't the point that I'm the only one submitting tips and tricks.

TRICK: Switch between negative and positive:

0
» unfold ways to switch between negative and positive «

1. Multiply by -1
If you have a number that's positive/negative and want to convert it to negative/positive, then this is one way to do this:

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = nr * -1; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = x * -1; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

2. Divide by -1
The same works with diving it by -1:

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = nr / -1; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = x / -1; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

3. Zero minus the number
Another way to do it is in this way:

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = 0 - nr; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = 0 - x; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

4. Just put a minus in front of the variable
This is the easiest way, and it actually works the same as the third.

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = -nr; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = -x; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

5. Minus itself multiplied by two:
And another way:

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = nr; // Init x to nr
x -= x * 2; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = x; // Init y to x
y -= y * 2; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

6. Direct multiply by -1
This is a bit different, just like fifth way it can only be applied to the variable itself.

var nr, x, y;
nr = 500;
x = nr; // Init x to nr
x *= -1; // x is the negative value of nr (-500)
y = x; // Init y to x
y *= -1; // y is the negative value of x (500)

if(nr == y) // This is always the same, so what's in it will always be executed.
{
 show_message("This always get's executed!");
}

This way is pretty easy to use.
» fold ways to switch between negative and positive «

TRICK: Make a number always positive:

0
» unfold tricks to make numbers always positive «

1. Using an if-statement
I think that everyone knows how this is achieved using an if statement:

var nr1, nr2;
nr1 = -200;
nr2 = 300;

if(nr1 < 0) nr1 *= -1;
if(nr2 < 0) nr2 *= -2;

show_message(string(nr1)); // 200
show_message(string(nr2)); // 300

2. Using math

var nr1, nr2;
nr1 = -200;
nr2 = 300;

nr1 = sqrt(sqr(nr1));
nr2 = sqrt(sqr(nr2));

show_message(string(nr1)); // 200
show_message(string(nr2)); // 300

» fold tricks to make numbers always positive «

TIP: The color spectrum:

0
» unfold a tip on the color spectrum «

I know a lot of programmers who are used to use RGB (Red, Green, Blue) as their only color spectrum.
Though HSV (Hue Saturation Value) offers you ways to make smooth color motions.
How HSV works is pretty simple. The Saturation stand for the amount of color. While the Value means the lightness or brightness.
The Hue however is the actual color. In GM all those values go from 0 to 255. But with the Hue 255 is equal to zero.
As example:

var color1, color2, color3;
color1 = $FF0000; // GM Color Code (HEX)
color2 = make_color_rgb(255, 0, 0); // The RGB Color
color3 = make_color_hsv(0, 255, 255); // The HSV Color

All of those variables are the same, the color red.
Another example:

var color1, color2, color3;
color1 = $00FF00; // GM Color Code (HEX)
color2 = make_color_rgb(0, 255, 0); // The RGB Color
color3 = make_color_hsv(85, 255, 255); // The HSV Color

All those variables represent the color green.
And the color blue is:

var color1, color2, color3;
color1 = $0000FF; // GM Color Code (HEX)
color2 = make_color_rgb(0, 0, 255); // The RGB Color
color3 = make_color_hsv(170, 255, 255); // The HSV Color

Last, the color white:

var color1, color2, color3;
color1 = $FFFFFF; // GM Color Code (HEX)
color2 = make_color_rgb(255, 255, 255); // The RGB Color
color3 = make_color_hsv(0, 0, 255); // The HSV Color, in this case the Saturation is zero, this means that no color will be visible, so the hue doesn't matter. In most cases the Hue will then be referred to as zero.

Something you could apply this to is this:
Create event:

hue = 0

Step event:

hue += 1;

Draw event:

draw_set_color(make_color_hsv(hue, 255, 255));
draw_set_alpha(1);
draw_rectangle(x, y, x + 16, y + 16, false);

When you place an object with those codes in it in a room it'll be a rectangle of 16x16 of which the color goes around the entire color spectrum.
» fold a tip on the color spectrum «

I hope you like it so far. Now it's time for you to submit some tips and tricks.

Hello everyone,

I just came across a Team Suite version of Visual Studio, and I think this might help us in developing .Net applications as a team. An example of this could be the application for FTP project sharing. (I don't think everyone knows what I mean with this. But to keep it short, it should be something that allows us to work with the same project data: engines, pictures, etc.)
I actually don't know how this program works... But I think we might want to use it.

Just think about it.

Flame Particle

Hello,

I've designed a flame particle, you might want to use it.
This is the source:

CODE

pt = part_type_create();
part_type_alpha3(pt, 0.8, 0.9, 0.9);
part_type_blend(pt, 1);
part_type_color3(pt, 4105955, 14461828, 11975958);
part_type_direction(pt, 87, 71, 120.82, 8.4);
part_type_gravity(pt, 6.28, 69);
part_type_life(pt, 44, 61);
part_type_orientation(pt, 227, 193, 25.69, -3.32, 0);
part_type_scale(pt, 0.4, 0.91);
part_type_shape(pt, 8);
part_type_size(pt, 2.37, 2.25, -1.74, -2.37);
part_type_speed(pt, -8.48, -11.37, -1.52, -1);
part_emitter_region(ps, pem, x - 37.5, x + 37.5, y - 14, y + 14, 0, ps_distr_linear);

Assuming that ps is a particle_system, and pem a particle emitter.
You can use the scale function to make it bigger and smaller. (part_type_scale(pt, scalex, scaley)
You can set the gravity direction (line 6, currently 69) to the direction you want the flames to go to minus 21 (so currently it's 69 + 21 = 90 degrees so it goes up).

Please provide a very small credit if you like it and use it.

I'm posting this here so you fellows know just what's happening over here with me.

Firstly, I shall be gone from tomorrow till about the 28th, and then I'll be leaving again through July 5th-11th. Both of these have to do with scouts—if you want to know, the first inactive period will be because I'm NYLT Staff over here, and the second is a summer camp.

Also, as of yesterday, I have a new project that I have to work on. I'll still try to be active here, but know that this for me is a higher priority than these forums—and these forums are high-priority for me! I will still be active here, but if I'm not you'll know why. This project is an extension of a different application I've programmed for a local person, and it's "educational." In fact, it'll be used in classrooms somewhere... I think it's Arkansas or somewhere similar. I need to have this program done by July 15th, or 18th at THE latest—and I've got scout camps, so in my time between I'll likely be programming this.

I just want to keep you guys updated.

[TUT] Surfaces

Hello,

I thought let's create a little tutorial on surfaces, since it's actually something very useful which'd normally take long advanced LAGGING scripts to accomplish something as easy as a screen where you can just use some object on to draw. (Hard to explain, srry.)
Here's a little thing that could be easily created by using surfaces:

To explain it a bit, you've got two trails who are both very long that it might even take 10 minutes for the beginning to become invisible. You could of course use a FIFO list (queue data structure) to achieve this by storing the position each step. And drawing EVER SINGLE POSITION with a specified alpha every single step. (This cause the frame rate to drop around... 1fps/0fps).
So an easy lag-free way to achieve this is using surfaces.

What are surfaces: They are technically seen just an image (grid of pixels) where you can draw on using normal functions like draw_sprite. Another thing you can call it is a sprite that you can manipulate easily.
Why would I use them: Because they are fast, easy and look good.
How does it work: First you create a surface of a specified size, then you draw stuff on it (that'll be saved, not removed each step), you draw the surface in the step event. And last but very important, if you no longer need it IN-GAME you can free it. (Game End automatically frees it.)

First a question that you have to answer is WHAT DO I WANT?
Then you have to ask yourself HOW DO I GET THAT RESULT? (Does there need to be an extra circle each step? Or maybe just a sprite drawn several times...?)

The first question is mostly an idea which you have in mind, note that the result will almost never be exactly as you wanted. Just because imaginations are more beautiful as reality.
Then the second question which is very important, because that'll be the brain of the application.
A good example is a HID which are mostly things that don't change. For example, you just draw every button on the screen once.
And when they are either under the mouse OR clicked they'll just draw themselves on the surface. That way you can only have to draw one single image each step.
And if you have a rectangle game screen and the rest is HID you don't even have to draw that thing each step.
Because you can just only clear the part of the game screen, which also removes one extra surface draw each step.
NOTE: You do have to remove the automatically drawing of the background at the background options for the game-room.
Why this is a good example is because the only thing you do is draw the background of the HID once, and the rest is barely ever drawn.
Though when you want to create a ribbon trail you'll still have to draw an extra circle each step, but that's one instead of 1000. And that makes a little bit of a difference.
I hope you get the point, so now we can switch to the programming part:

Unendless Ribbon Trail:
First you'll have to create a surface (dûh xD).
You can do that like:

CODE

surf = surface_create(room_width, room_height);

The function takes two parameters, the width and the height. If you want the surface to fill then you let it stay like this.
You should put this in your create event, because you only need to create it once, not each step or something.

Drawing stuff on the surfaces is also very easy, first you have to tell GM to draw on the surface instead of on the screen, you can do that like this:

CODE

surface_set_target(surf);

Then you can just draw anything you like on it, for a trail:

CODE

draw_set_color(c_black);
draw_circle(mouse_x, mouse_y, 8, false);

You mustn't forget this important step! You have to tell gm that it needs to draw on the screen in the draw event instead of on the surface.
You can do that like:

CODE

surface_reset_target();

Or by simply assigning -1 to the target, using the surface_set_target function.

Then in the draw event you can put this to draw the surface:

CODE

draw_set_alpha(1);
draw_surface(surf, 0, 0);

If you try this you'll notice one odd thing, that's that if you move the mouse quickly that you just see several circles. Instead of the trail you expected.
This can be solved using some more advanced math, if you desperately want it, just add this before the surface_reset_target:

CODE

var dir;
dir = point_direction(mouse_x, mouse_y, lastmX, lastmY);
draw_primitive_begin(pr_trianglestrip);
{
draw_vertex(mouse_x + lengthdir_x(8, dir + 90), mouse_y + lengthdir_y(8, dir + 90));
draw_vertex(lastmX + lengthdir_x(8, dir + 90), lastmY + lengthdir_y(8, dir + 90));
draw_vertex(lastmX + lengthdir_x(8, dir - 90), lastmY + lengthdir_y(8, dir - 90));
draw_vertex(mouse_x + lengthdir_x(8, dir - 90), mouse_y + lengthdir_y(8, dir - 90));
draw_vertex(mouse_x + lengthdir_x(8, dir + 90), mouse_y + lengthdir_y(8, dir + 90));
}
draw_primitive_end();

And add this after the surface_reset_target AND to the create event:

CODE

lastmX = mouse_x;
lastmY = mouse_y;

NOTE: Do not draw the ribbon with alpha, because two parts overlap each other it'd look terribly (2 times as black at those parts) xD

I hope you get what this script does, and how to use surfaces for stuff that's worth using it for.

Also, if your interested in the script I used to create the screenshot, here it is:

0
» unfold script for the screen «

Just create a new file with an object, and a room without changing any properties except maybe the width and height (I have them at 800x600).
Then just add these:

CODE

Create Event:
x = 0;
y = 0;
x1 = floor(random(room_width - 200)) + 100;
y1 = floor(random(room_height - 200)) + 100;
x2 = room_width / 2;
y2 = room_height / 2;
hue = 0;
w = 25;
h = 25;
s = 0;
surf = surface_create(room_width, room_height);
surface_set_target(surf);
draw_set_color($C0C0C0);
draw_set_alpha(1);
draw_rectangle(0, 0, room_width, room_height, false);
surface_reset_target();

Step Event:
switch(s)
{
case 0:
w += 5;
if(w >= 75) s += 1;
break;
case 1:
w -= 5;
if(w <= 25) s += 1;
break;
case 2:
h += 5;
if(h >= 75) s += 1;
break;
case 3:
h -= 5;
if(h <= 25) s = 0;
break;
default:
w = 25;
h = 25;
s = 0;
}
hue += 1;
if(hue >= 255) hue -= 255;
if(keyboard_check(ord("S"))) y2 += 4;
if(keyboard_check(ord("A"))) x2 -= 4;

surface_set_target(surf)
draw_set_alpha(0.0025);
draw_set_color($C0C0C0);
draw_rectangle(0, 0, room_width, room_height, false);
draw_set_alpha(1);
draw_set_color(make_color_hsv(hue, 255, 255));
draw_rectangle(-w / 2 + x1, -h / 2 + y1, w / 2 + x1, h / 2 + y1, false);
draw_set_color(make_color_hsv(254 - hue, 255, 255));
draw_circle(x2, y2, 16, false);
surface_reset_target();

Draw Event:
draw_surface(surf, 0, 0);

I hope you can learn any more from this.

Hallo,

Since I'm a web coder and designer I test my webpages in several browsers.
I've installed those browsers:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 8

Mozilla Firefox 3.0.10

Apple Safari 4

Opera 9.64

Netscape Navigator 9.0.0.6

At the moment I'm using Netscape Navigator, and I must say. It's actually kinda funny.
It's actually just an older version of FireFox, it's compatible with every site I've created.
Also each page looks the same as with FireFox.
But that's not what's so funny, it's that you can even install FireFox addons in Netscape Navigator.
Also it uses the dictionary functions of FireFox.
Just all buttons etc. look different, but even the options menu is about the same!
It is almost the same as version 2 of FireFox.

Here is a screenshot:

Could you give me your opinion about this?
I remember once on another forum handing over responsibility of a game idea of mine (called Gates) to someone from Xsoft (forgotten who) and I havent seen anything of it since.

Anyone know what happened to it? and if not, can I pick it up again for my use?
I seem to remember it had something to do with Legolas710, but i may be mistaken.

<EXAMPLE 1>

<EXAMPLE 2>

With the experience in the positions you just do that for each position. This is also the case with the examples.
Though the title must be in that format, the content of the topic does not have to follow the example. The example above does, however, show which details are necessary to include in your profile. These are a minimum, you can add however much you wish to.

Example profile:
Title: [ACTIVE] The_Person {Graphics Artist, 3D Modeling, Programmer, Web Designer, VFX, Game Designer, Musician, SFX}
Content:

Username: The_Person
Activity: Active
Positions available: Graphics Artist, 3D Modeling, Programmer, Web Designer, VFX, Game Designer, Musician, SFX
Experience in these positions:
Graphics Artist: I've always been good with drawing etc. I started with good paintings when I was 4, but when I was 8 I discovered that I was better in drawing with computers. These days I use these program for creating graphics: Adobe Photoshop CS4, GM Edit (of version 7).

3D Modeling: I started with 3D about a year ago, and I'm becoming way much better.

Programmer: I'm not the best programmer, but I can definitely create some easy stuff for the team.

Web Designer: I'm learning this now, but I'm a quick learner so I might do some supportive stuff in this section.

VFX: As my heart still lies with graphics I learned how to create stunning VFX for games.

Game Designer: I'm someone with a great fantasy and I just spit out Game Idea's at random.

Musician: I can create a few nice beats with a little program called Fruity Loops, I use the demo, so don't ask me to edit my old files.

SFX: I'm very good at finding SFX' because I have a collection of over 10.000 sfx, this could really help!

Examples:
My example is this lovely image:

Lego why I think the update should be applied is because of a mistake I thought that you had the status' active semi-active and inactive, because I could imagine inactive and gamer had semi-active. So that's where it went wrong, I apologize and thought let's make it up to you by giving you this ready to post topic.

You can edit my post to see the code.

Installing Anti-Spam bot

Hello every1,

Since this forum is attacked by several spam bots Legolas as made new users at a status of Validating.
This is BAD for the team, because we can't always tell with the username which users ARE humans and who're not.
That's why I recommend using an anti-spam bot called reCAPTCHA (sure you've heard of it).
By reaching an accuracy of 99.5% (this includes big boards like the GMC). Should make it for this forum about 99.9%.
I recommend this to be added soon.

Look for more information on: http://recaptcha.net/

Just Press Login (user)

Hello Everyone!

I just tried something, I created a user named Just Press Login.
The name's already says how you can login to the account.
Just load the page of the forums, and press go (login).

How this works, well the username is "User Name", and the password is "------".
How you can check if that's true is easy, you can see it in this code:

<input type="text" size="20" name="UserName" onfocus="focus_username(this)" value="User Name" />
<input type="password" size="20" name="PassWord" onfocus="focus_password(this)" value="------" />

So the default values are already set to the user's data, and this causes that you can just login without filling in forms.

So legolas, you might want to add User Name to the blocked usernames list.

I must admit, it was fun trying =P!

OHOOW I'm SOO EVIL!! =P xD
